FINANCIAL AID
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can apply?
Any high school student who has a demonstrated financial need may apply for scholarship funds in order to participate in an educational exchange to one of Nashville’s sister cities. Students must first complete an application to participate in a Sister Cities exchange and be accepted into that program. Students must be in good standing in their schools.
How much financial aid is typically awarded?
Students are required to pay their own application fee ($350). If a scholarship is necessary to travel but not awarded, the application fee will be refunded less credit card processing costs if paid online.
Financial aid can range from $250 - full scholarships, but we evaluate every request on an individual basis. Sister Cities has a very limited amount of financial aid available. The Student Exchange Committee will review all applications and announce financial awards by December 15th.
How do I apply?
In addition to completing the student exchange application, the student must submit the Sister Cities Financial Aid Application form and submit with appropriate signatures from parent and have the school guidance counselor or other appropriate official complete related form below..
