Host Family Opportunities
Sister Cities welcomes applications from Nashville-area families interested in hosting an exchange student. Children in host families, like those traveling abroad, have the opportunity to experience other cultures firsthand and build lasting friendships with students from our partner cities. Hosting an exchange student is one of the most valuable and meaningful contributions of our members and supporters.
We need housing for two weeks for visiting high school student delegations. Additionally, there are opportunities to host college students who are working in Nashville for the summer or during the academic year. For information about these longer programs, please contact email@example.com.

Host Family Testimonials:
“The best part of the exchange was simply getting to know our student. She had a very happy demeanor and it was fun to have her in our home. We learned so much about their culture. It was a fantastic educational experience for my children.”
“Getting to know our student and the other host families involved in the exchange program was our highlight. Plus, she loved us and especially our kids!” – Neal M.
“Our exchange student from Germany brought a lot of joy into our home. Our kids loved having her to share in everyday pleasures like jumping on the trampoline or going on a special outing to Fall Creek Falls. We learned a lot from her, too – about her hometown, her culture, and her school.” – Chris C.
“Being involved with the Sister Cities of Nashville program allows you to be an ambassador to our great United States of America. To be able to show someone from another country how great this land around us is gives you a tremendous feeling of pride. Welcoming someone into your home and sharing the ways of America and learning the ways of their country has no comparisons. This is a life-long lesson for everyone involved. It is a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone!” – Sheila W.
