Sandra
Velarde has twenty years of experience practicing individual and group therapy . Ms. Velarde is the director, founder, and owner of Colmenas Psychotherapy Center. She has a bachelor’s
degree in Psychology and a Masters in Neurolinguistic Programming. Other accomplishments
include having anchored a television psychology segment, as well as, having written a regular psychology column for a newspaper.
Her next goal is to write a book. Ms. Velarde has worked for various institutions such as schools, a police department, and
the Mexican National State Workers Healthcare System in Mexico.

Christina Amezquita is a teacher at Glendale Elementary
Spanish Immersion School, the only partial Spanish immersion school in TN, where Spanish is taught through the math
and the science content areas, as well as, through culture. Glendale Elementary works within the school and the community
to celebrate diversity. Mrs. Amezquita has: taught
for thirteen years in the United States and Spain;
interpreted at the Olympics; directed the 4th Annual TFLTA Tennessee Elementary Foreign Language Teachers Workshop;
chaperoned students to Girona, Spain for
Sister Cities of Nashville; and presented at state foreign
language conferences across the country.

Maria
Clara Mejia is one of the three cofounders of Conexión Américas, a Hispanic Organization with headquarters in Nashville that promotes the integration of Hispanic families into the local
community, where she is the developer and chief instructor of the Latino Cultural Competency Training©.
Previously, Ms. Mejia worked for the World Bank for fourteen years in thirteen Latin American countries. Maria Clara Mejia
was born and raised in Colombia, South America. She holds a bachelor degree in Economics
and a Masters degree in Anthropology.
Emi
Canahuati is Manager of Education and Training for Planned Parenthood of Middle and East Tennessee. Ms. Canahuati was born and raised in
Honduras, Central America, in a household
with an American mother and Honduran father. Ms. Canahuati came to the United
States to attend college, earning a Masters in Counseling from NYU. She has been working
in the field of sexuality education for ten years and is an expert on "Planned Parenthood and Their Partnership with
the HIV Vaccine Trials Unit at Vanderbilt."
Alexia
Cabrera is the owner and chef of Nola Restaurant in Nasvhille. Ms. Cabrera
was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, where she inherited her love of cooking from her Italian grandmother, and began formally
studying gastronomy at the age of twelve. Ms. Cabrera has traveled widely in Central America and Mexico.
She has a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. In 2201, she came to the U.S.
and has lived in San Francisco, Miami and Orlando,
before settling in Nashville and opening her own restaurant.
José Amden
is an Argentinean international management consultant. In 2000, Mr. Amden, who is originally from Argentina, moved
to the U. S., where he earned an M. B. A. in Marketing and Finance from Vanderbilt
University. Mr. Amden specializes in helping companies with their sales
and marketing efforts. He lectures on marketing fundamentals for businesses and discusses how they affect marketing initiatives
in different countries.
